vista premium x64 desktop icons

my graphics card is geforce 6150SE nFORCE 430 im just wondering why when i move my cursor on to a desktop icon the icon as a box round it like its highlighted.
i cannot remember any other windows system like it any ideas.

Nope you wont ....its a Vista thing , part of the Aero theme im assuming :) Im sure there is some way of turning it off if it annoys you and im sure someone here can tell you how.....but not me ;)

Fred, as you have mentioned the box indicates the selection of the item. This is part of the Theme. The highlighted box shows the area within which you can click. If you do no want it, then change the windows theme.

* Right Click on Desktop
* Click Appreance & Settings.
* From The Drop down select any theme except Aero & Vista Basic.

You will not get the box.

ok no way of doing it suppose i will have to keep it as the way it is turning of aero etc waste of time defeats the object i think.thanx anyways.:sarc:
