| Vista Home Premium x64 | Display flickering on and off and displays No Imput Hello everyone, I am new to this forum so if I don’t do everything they way it should be done my apologies. I recently build my computer: Case- X-TELSTAR-JR G-Type X-TSJGT-BL Blue SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower PSU- APEVIA ATX-AS600W-BL 600W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready Power Supply Hard Drive- Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600AAJS 160GB 7200 RPM Monitor- Hanns·G HW-223DPB Black 22" 5ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor Graphics Card- XFX GX285NZDFF GeForce GTX 285 RAM- Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 Motherboard- MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI ATX AMD CPU- AMD Phenom 9850 BLACK EDITION 2.5GHz OS- Vista Home Premium x64 Right now I currently have a problem where my monitor is flashing black for a few seconds and then returns the image. During this time i am still able to hear and the system is not freezing up. I have installed all the new drivers for everything and tried uninstalling them too and reinstalling them all to no avail. This problem has evolved from where before it used to just freeze and then unfreeze and say that the driver has stopped working even though I had updated the driver. Any help would be much appreciated as I am getting very frustrated at this dilemma. Last edited by roy69; 03-30-2009 at 06:27 PM.. Reason: solved |

That you are using all necessary power cables. Check the connections between card and monitor. That you have the latest Chipset drivers, That you have the latest bios Try; using another slot for the Graphic card. If you are using DVI try using VGA or visa versa. Try using different plug combination's on the Graphic card and Monitor. Try using a different graphic card if you have one, or try your card in another computer, same for the monitor. I hope this helps Pooch |
