My monitor does not wake up after reboot.

I have two monitors: (HP LP3065) & (HP w1907)
I am running dual configured independently with the LP3065 as my primary display. I have a Nvidia 8800 GT card.

When the computer goes to sleep the LP3065 primary monitor won't wake up.

When I restart my computer the LP3065 primary monitor won't wake up.

When I start the computer manually everything works fine.

?

Re: My monitor does not wake up after reboot.

Could an upgrade to my video card fix this problem?
I have the latest drivers for the Nvidia 8800 GT.

Re: My monitor does not wake up after reboot.

I now have my computer stuck in what looks like half safe mode. All my tool bars are white but I can see my background pic. I was trying to install the old video driver for my 8800 GT card that came with the computer before I had this problem with the monitor not waking up but it would not allow me and the nvidia control panel stopped functioning. So I tried doing it in safe mode. on reboot all my tool bars went white. I tried restart several times with the same result. I tried System Restore with no change.
My next step was to switch the monitors around to make shure its not a problem with the HP LP3065 monitor. I have had the monitors in different configurations before and had no problems.

Can anybody please help me get my computer out of this half looking safe mode so I can deal with the rest of this compounding problem.
Thanks

Re: My monitor does not wake up after reboot.

I keep getting a system restore failed error and it is asking me if I want to run it again.
