You're still a bit vague.

Have you tried turning down the overclocks? - You've got that i7 920 overclocked a nearly 1gig. I know everyone says to clock it that high, but it doesn't mean it'll run stable like that.

Is the card getting enough power? Have you got the extra power connector connected to the MB to power the PCI slots for the card?

What are all my games? - List some.

Questions
The games are GTA4 ,crysis ,cod4 .The pc was built by overclockers UK I havnt tried turning down the overclocks im not really sure how to do that. The system ran fine for a couple of days then stopped working so well.I think it could be the latest drivers that caused the problem .Il try using the drivers on the disc that came with it later today .

Re: 4870/2

If the problems persists, I'd have a talk with the system builders.

Re: 4870/2

yeah i was asking about your psu mate because those symptoms can and have been related to an unstable power supply , it may not be your issue but its worth a shot , is it a new machine or has it been stable and all of a sudden gone faulty?

As its overclockers im assuming its one of their pre o/c'ed machines , its a worth a shot at clocking it back to stock and seeing what the results are , if its stable then you have grounds for sending it back as i assume they will guarrentee that o/c

Re: 4870/2

Ive thoroughly explored my theory of it being the drivers and im now sure its not that.Ive spoken to overclockers who told me to run furmark which ive done and everyhting seems fine.
I will call them again tommorow and see what they say .
