Tweaking Video Chip

My current and only computer was the first computer that was truly mine. Coming from using a desktop with 256mb of ram, a 60GB hard disk, and 32mb of vram when I asked for a computer in 2007; I thought that a 120GB hard drive, 1GB of ram, a Nvidia Geforce Go 6100 was great. I now found that I should have done more research...

Anyway, I consider myself a gamer and like to play games on my computer however my video card is not quite up to par for many games (I already went into my BIOS to raise the vram from 64mb to 128mb). I am also using the latest WHQL Nvidia drivers from laptopvideo2go (182.50). I have a few questions though:

First off, I noticed that the latest Nvidia bios are in version 9 followed by some decimals. My computer is using version 5.51.28.53.14. How do I update this on a laptop?

Second, as I said before, I used the bios to double the vram but that is as high as the bios will let me set the vram. Is there any way via a utility or update that I can increase the vram to, maybe, 256mb? Also, the "System Information" option in the Nvidia Control Panel tells me that my total video memory is 831mb and my dedicated is 128mb. Where is the 831mb coming from because I know that that is not what I have as the performance would be loads better?
