Hi
there is a way or a short cut to turn GPU card off so it wont send any picture to the LCD so it can turn itself off too?
and of course turn it back on again with no problems(i think of a remote device to control these short cuts. like my G1 phone...)

iv already try "Turn off Monitor" programs that looks okay in the Turn off part but fail to keep it extinguished...

regards
Roy

Well Windows has the built in power saving stuff that turns off the monitor after a set amount of time. I don't think, or I've never heard of ways to just turn the graphic card off. Only thing I can think of is something like sleep or hibernate, that puts the whole computer in to a low power state, and then has a very quick resume.

Of if you're wanting to save energy while running downloads or something in the background, then you can download things that underclock the graphic card considerably, so it uses a lot less power, so if you combine this with turning the monitor off power saving, you'd be quite close to what you wanted to do.

This is the closest I can think off unless someone else has an actual solution.

Or you can set the turn off display to 1-2mins so even if it "wakes up" again, it soon goes back to sleep.
