Hi all
I have above video card that can support HDMI through DVI to HDMI adapter. Here is the link MSI -- MICRO-STAR INT'L CO., LTD.
what i am unable to find out is, if I connect HDMI cable with above adapter will i have sound coming through to my surround sound system. I have connected my surround sound and my plasma, I want to use Viera link between the 2, but not sure if sound will come through when I connect my computer.
Can you please advice if this is possible or what I need to do to get the sound coming through. I have not attempted in doing this just yet, because I don't want to spend money on a good HDMI cable 10m in length before finding out. Don't you agree
How does spdif connector looks like?

Further to my post , this is my motherboard http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=170&prod_no=1261. It has spdif connection, but how do I connect this to the video card.
Please step by step...
