Vista - XFX nVidia 8400GS problem

well... i have a nvidia 8400gs from xfx and when im on the internet (sites with pictures, java and other) the pc stuns... after a few seconds... depands my pc coes to 4bits colors, a resolution.... uhm i dont know... fery small and i get a msg with smth about nv4_disp.dll and the only solution fot that is to reboot.

ohmmm... still crashing

is it only doing this in IE or when you play games, or play videos aswell ?
when did this start doing this ?, have you updated your drivers ?, also try reinstalling java, another thing you could try is to disable IE addons, disable them all and if its ok enable them one at a time.

uhm... well i dont use ie i u se firefox... no addons no nothing... and it crashes mostly in mozilla and in photoshop, the drivers ar the lates and the java to cuz ive' reinstalled the win yesterday night so its all new from the baker

is there an option in firefox to reset all internet settings ?, if there is i would reset it and try that. if all else dails try a reinstall of firefox

well... ive' reinstalled the xp and i will leave it like this to see how its working out
oh and btw on vista it crashed even in idle with no app opened

please try IE, if it still crashes its not a browser problem..

why dont you read all of the posts? i told stoneys that the pc crash even in idle... but now im on xp and so far its all good
