HELP! Sudden Low Resolution and Pixelated Screen

ok, out of no where my screen gets these pixelated red lines across it. I thought it overheated so I turned it off for about an hour and turned it on. it is a permanent error. the res is set at 4 bits or something. everything runs fine but the graphics are so messed up. o reinstalled the drivers and nothing changed. so i buy a new graphics card?

your GFX card could well be buggered.....

are you monitoring card temps...??, i know you say it artifacts straight away, but it could of been caused by heat & a lack of thermal paste (as it dissipates over time)

what card is it....???

how long have you been running it..??

enter windows ''safe mode'' & see if the artifacts are still present..??
