Crossfire with two monitors?

A co-worker just told me that if I add a second ATI HD4850 card to my Gateway FX6800-01e computer, and crossfire them, I will loose my current dual monitor mode.

In other words, he says that crossfire allows only for one monitor!

Is this a correct statement?

Thanks.

Re: Croosfire with two monitors?

I'm not sure if it's the same with ATI Crossfire as it is with Nvidia SLI, but with SLI you can keep dual monitors enabled if both monitors are plugged in to the primary video card. Not sure if this works the same with ATI.

In a word, No.

Both monitors will still work in dual off the primary card. Your co-worker is wrong.

I'am assuming that the monitors can be configured indepentent of each other.

I'am looking forward to trying this Crossfire deal. Ordering video card today.

Thanks for the info.
