Can i record youtube etc by using s-video out to panasonic dvdr unit?

Is is possible to play youtube/netflix streaming in full screen and rather than send it to a tv screen, use the s-video out to send it to my stand alone panasonic dvd recorder?

Don't have an s-video output so I can't experiment, but I am thinking of buying a card with s-video out for this purpose.

Does anybody do this?
