Flight Simulator 2002 virtual cockpit black screen

I have a Gateway LX6810-01 using Vista Home Premium edition Service Pack 2, 64 bit, with an Intel Quad Q8200 with an NVidia GeForce GT 120, 8GB RAM. I am running 3 monitors with the Matrox Triplehead2go system and it works great with many flight sim games including Flight Sim 2004 and Combat Flight Sim. The games just need to be set to the high resolutions 3840 X1024 or 3072 X 768 and when the game loads, the three screens are filled with cockpit. Although Flight Sim 2002 is supposed to have native support to work with the Matrox system, it will not run across 3 screens, no matter what I try. In FS2002, it is necessary to use the virtual cockpit to stretch across multiple screens but when I enter virtual cockpit view, I get sound but black screen. The game freezes and I cannot get back to the full view at that point. I even experienced where the game was stuck on the default Cessna so no matter what plane I choose, the only plane that loaded was the Cessna. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game but to no avail. I welcome suggestions. Thanks
