ATI vs. Nvidia

If I buy a new graphics card, which brand's card should I use? Nvidia or ATI?

Thanx!

Re: ATI vs. Nvidia

I assume it's not for the notebook in your specs?

We need a few more details mate. Both have great cards, but there a few other factors to consider.

Like the specs for the machine it's going in, what games you plan to play, are you planning on running a dual/triple card setup in the futere etc

Re: ATI vs. Nvidia

Well like they said for laptopps and such usually you dont have much choice. for desktops its all on what you want ATI is a good company and they are cheaper. i use them but NVIDIA is very well known for superb Performance. kinda like the Lambourghini of Graphics Cards. still Dont get me wrong ATI has great cards but they are more like Ferrari's if that makes any sense.

Nvidia to the death.

Most games are written for their cards, their drivers actually occasionally improve performance, and the performance of the current best nvidia card in SLI - the GTX 295 massacres any ATI offering with a suitable i7 processor and RAID setup along with plenty of RAM.
