| Vista Home Premium 64 bit | nVidia Control Panel issue - STUMPED :( For days I've been trying to get to the bottom of a problem with the nVidia Control Panel stopping working. I put all my system details in my profile here, but to be brief I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit and the card is a Gigabyte nVidia 9800GT with 1GB of video RAM. I have installed the drivers that originally came with the card, the updated drivers from the manufacturer's website, as well as most of the latest nVidia drivers directly from nvidia. All of them give a similiar result. when I try to open the nvidia control panel I get a message simliar to the following: Microsoft Windows NVIDIA Control Panel Application, 2.7.150.02 has stopped working Windows can check online for a solution to the problem -> Check online for a solution and close the program -> Close the program View problem details Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: nvcplui.exe Application Version: 2.7.150.2 Application Timestamp: 4a71410c Fault Module Name: NVCPL.DLL Fault Module Version: 8.15.11.9056 Fault Module Timestamp: 4a71565d Exception Code: c0000094 Exception Offset: 00000000003bcef0 OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: a380 Additional Information 2: 95589421f8cb038cea84d629df35ba26 Additional Information 3: b898 Additional Information 4: d114597e43763414798cec55ff512d18 Unfortunately checking online doesn't give a solution. The only thing that changes is the Application Version (depending on which driver I was trying out at the time) and of course the Time stamp. I have tried driver cleaners, installing in safe mode, the works. At this point I'm frustrated to TEARS!! I have NO idea what to try next and Gigabyte (who makes my card) apparently has no phone tech support, and hasn't replied to any of my inquiries about fixing the problem. I do need the nvidia control panel to make adjustments to the video as my system is connected via HDMI to my 42" flatscreen 1080p HDTV. With my old ATI 3650 I installed the latest drivers and I had perfect 1080p video. Something with nVidia drivers and Vista 64 bit seems to simply not work. Thanks in advance for any help you can give! ![]() UPDATE: if I connect the nvidia card with VGA, the picture looks HORRIBLE but the control panel comes up. If I connect DVI to HDMI or HDMI to HDMI the error message comes up.Last edited by shaere; 08-23-2009 at 01:41 AM.. |

| Vista home premium 64 bit | Just a small addition to what dwarf has said, C0000094 is a divide by zero error. The latest drivers are buggy. Uninstall the drivers in safe mode then install this one in safe mode. GeForce ForceWare 190.56 Win 7 | Vista (64-bit) download from Guru3D.com |
