no problem, just need help deciding.

hi everyone

soz about title didn't know what to write

i have an acer 5735z (european) and recently reinstalled vista. performance has slowed down on gaming and aero performance. i have givin up on trying to find the fault and am now considering buying a graphics card. i am a kid so am waiting until christmas and ma birthday to get money. i reckon my budget would be £150 to £200. any recommendations? have been lookin at nvidia and amd and lookin the like of the ati radeon and geforce series.

no no :P HD4890! haha wait.... Christmas......... lets wait and see what the HD5000 series will cost, also a 275 is roughly equal to a 4890, but the 4890 uses less power

when i said was lookin in nvidia, i did look at the gtx series. i don't care if one uses more power or not, i keep my lappy plugged in at all times! and i don't pay electricity bills lol
i haven't heard of the HD4890 or HD5000
if the hd5000 costs over £250 i will go to the gtx275
how can i tell if my psu (does psu mean Power Supply Unit?)is up to it? do you need a certain voltage?
thing is, where can i buy the card? are there any markets i could go to in dorset to see the card? if not, it is trial and error buying online.

waah the gtx 275 might be over my budget! but will take a look at the hd4890 see how that compares

Certified power supplies are recommended. Refer to Certified Power Supplies for a list of Certified products
Minimum 1GB of system memory - i got 4gb
Installation software requires CD-ROM drive - got it
DVD playback requires DVD drive - got it
Blu-ray™ playback requires Blu-ray drive - don't have blu ray drive

how do i find out the wattage of my psu?

aww no i have just looked at my ac adapter and it says 65 watts!

Sorry, but you cannot upgrade your graphics capability on a laptop.

its a laptop!! sorry mate your out of luck i thought you had a desktop , not worth trying to upgrade a laptop gpu
