Graphics Card Keeps Resizing Desktop

Hey I am completely new to these forums and completely new to windows vista. I am running my computer by using a 37" LCD TV as a computer screen and have been having some display problems with my graphics card displaying my desktop on it. When I first ran my computer I noticed that the desktop didn't completely fit the dimensions of the TV leaving about an in of black space around the perimeter of the TV. I soon fixed this problem by going to NVIDIA Control Panel -> Resize HDTV Desktop and selecting "do not resize my desktop". This at first seemed solved the problem. However I soon realized that every time I turned off the computer the screen would resize. Now how do I set it so my computer automatically does not resize my desktop on boot it is a real pain having to open and change that menu setting every time I start my computer.

what type of graphics card are you using and secondly what type of tv are you using and how are you connecting them. ie d-sub, DVI, HDMI?

sorry for the late reply,
firstly what I want you to do is update all your drivers and software relating to your graphics card. (this should fix some of the problem)
Secondly when you go to into display settings to "resize your desktop" does it just say monitor, or does it say Dynex-(model no) on Nvidia GTS 250.
Unfortunately alot of these TV's (especially the generic ones) have alot of bugs to them, whereas sony and samsung and LG check their tvs thoroughly and then update the firmware on the tv's the cheaper generic one's are often left in the cold.
But updating display drivers can do wonders, so check it out at the manufacturers site
