I dont know if this video card works on my computer :

XFX GeForce 9800 GT 256-bit GDDR3
Newegg.com - XFX PVT98GYDLH GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
YouTube - XFX GeForce 9800 GT Video Card

So I was wondering if someone could give me an answer.
Here are my system specs :
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Windows Vista Home Basic
Service Pack 1
Manufacturer : eMachines
Rating : 3.3
Memory (RAM): 2 GB
32-bit Operating System
Processor : Intel(R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 3.00 GHz, 2999 Mhz, 1 Core(s), 2 Logical Processors

BIOS version/date : Intel Corp. CF94510J.15A.0038.2007.0226.1646, 2/26/2007

System Type : X86-based PC
Total Virtual Memory : 4.21 GB
------------------------------------------------------------------

And sorry about giving so much specs, I just want my repliers to have an exact answer and I want them to be sure. :D

Hello Zanzuki,
What card do you have on your MB at the moment ?, eMachines tend to go for onboard graphics cards, which can sometimes, be difficult to disable when fitting a PCIe card, and can conflict causing no picture at all.
I would check your system specs and let us know which card you have, if it's onboard, just make sure it will disable before you buy a new card, or if you have an old card try that first.
And as thepizzaman says, make sure your PSU is up to it.
Post your model number and we can check the specs.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I'd go so far as to check whether you have an AGP or PCI-E slot.

I dont have a card at the moment.
I have this chip in my computer which is called a Graphics Media Accelerator, which is an Intel product, but I dont know if that counts as the system "video card". So would that be it? I dont really know what your looking for here. And the model number of the computer is W3611A.

Also, when running a "Can you run It?" program, It also listed a video card that I didnt know I had.

Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family (Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family

Video Card Features:

Video RAM = 224 MB
Video Card 3D Acceleration = Yes
Video HW Transform & Lighting = No
Vertex Shader Ver. = 0.0
Pixel Shader Ver. = 2.0

we NEED the model number of your machine so we can check the specs and see if the motherboard has a pci/e slot , one more thing they tend to fit low end 300w power supply's in these shop bought e machines too and that just wont cut it with a 9 series card , but you'll have to tell us what psu you have its never listed in the vendors specs

You have to read a little bit more dude,
I already listed the model number of my computer.

yes it has a pci/e 16 slot so your good to go with that card

power supply you will need to take the side of your case its the thing at the top with all the wires coming out of it , look at the sticker on the side and list everything it says on here :)

nvidia recommend a minimum 400w psu the card itsef can draw 105w then of course you need 2 x 6 pin pcie connectors , you will need at least one on yuor psu the card will come with an adaptor for the other one , without seeing your psu i cant tell if it has the required connectors

Maximum Graphics Card Power (W)105 W Minimum System Power Requirement (W)400 W Supplementary Power Connectors6-pin x2

modern cards draw quite alot of power , they often do this with shop bought pc's , offer you the option of an upgrade but make it impossible , your only option is to upgrade your psu or go for a low end card , i think ATI cards need less power as for NVidia you would have to look at 7 series or lower , a low end 7 series at that ............ looking at NVidias specs they are saying 350w minimum , thats if you can still get hold of one
