Hi,

I have been getting a lot of atikmdag errors in games and I have no idea why. I somewhat recently formatted and reinstalled vistax64, have the latest drivers and even on the 2nd partition (Win7 x64) I get the error. I used to get it with my old Nvidia 9800GT and now I get it with my ati card. Is there anyway to solve this issue, it is very, very annoying.

Thanks,

Here is a screenshot, I tried to put fan up to 100% and it still seems to happen. I think it could be something to do with my ram that it doesn't quite like and maybe because I have 8GB of it. It also seems to happen a lot in different games that aren't necessarily more graphically intense.

Around about 60-70 maybe 75 MAX degrees in game

Seems to be happening to ATI and Nvidia cards, which makes me thing it's an operating system problem. Seems to happen most with Vista-64Bit. I've heard stories of ppl switching back to Win XP 32 bit and no more problems. Also more bad news, it's been going on for years with no fix.
