Vista - Dreamscene Problem...Faster Graphics Card??

Hi all,

I currently have a problem with running dreamscene, it slows my computer down when running it, as soon as I open up other windows. Also moving windows around the desktop is noticebly slower, along with the fact dreamscene stutters.

I currently use a Nvidia Geforce 7300se which is intergrated graphics.

I was looking to upgrade to a cheap ATI HD3450 graphics card to solve this problem.

Does anyone here know if the HD3450 will speed up dreamscene to its optimal level along with using and opening up windows without slow downs?

Updated my specs, Just wondering if my problem with dreamscene is GPU related, since Vista is heavy on system resources such as Aero.

yes it would help..... and thats about the best you could get without upgrading your psu..... i can't say how much it would help... but it would be better than your integrated

you should have one open pci-e slot.... a 3450 in that would make things better

Yeah I do have a pcie slot, so you reckon a HD3450 would do the job?

what would say for the specs of the HD3450 against the 7300SE, have the specs on the gpureview website below.

it might...... if you have a little bit of a budget though.... the best thing to do would be to get a slightly better psu.... (like a 400 watt) and a HD3650 or a HD3870..... and then you would def would have no problems.....
