Blank screen after installing driver

I have been having his problem for the past couple of months and cannot find any answer. I run Vista 64 and use a GTX 260 in sli, 4 gb ram, Q9650 on an evga 780i mb. If I use any driver up to 182.50 everything is fine. If I try to install any of the newer drivers 185, 186, 190, they all result in the monitor losing its signal just after the Window's green progress bar but before the Wondow's chime, which I can hear, but the monitor has lost its signal. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers dozens of times using various methods, so its not a method of install issue. The cards work perfectly fine until I try to install one of the newer drivers. Powering off/on the monitor does nothing. I have tried three different monitors, again no change. I have tried just one card, swapping cards, no luck. My motherboard drivers and bios are up to date. I have tried booting in low res mode, no luck, although booting into safe mode is fine. Has anyone had a similar problem and heard of any way to fix it. Thanks for any help.

have you checked the manufacturer's web site for their knowledge base or forums where this might be mentioned ?

As far as I know, If the card is new, installing a new driver shouldn't make the screen go blank. I believe that only happens with an old card and a very new driver.

Yeah, the solution to this has been very elusive, I have tried every suggested solution with no luck. Like I had mentioned, the odd part is that the 182.50 drivers and earlier work fine, but I can't update to anything newer. I tried contacting Nvidia and got the typical, reinstall your drivers, like I had not tried that 20 times, to which they responded that I would just have to live with it. There was obviously some change in the drivers, that with a combination of Vista and my system don't seem to like, but what that is I can't figure out.
