| Vista Ultimate 32 bit | Re: atikmdag heh found the problem. but not intentionally. i had just bought a new hdd. so i installed it but after booting up i noticed that i couldn't see it in win. so i rebooted got in bios and to my surprise... it didn't see any hard drives anymore. only the dvd-rw. so i tried everything humanly possible. i staied up till 5 in the morning trying...nothing. i thought it might be the motherboard. so the next day i went to my shop to test it. then i realised it was the power sourse. i changed it so now everything works wonderfully. thank god!. heh well... till next time thanks anyways guys. |

| Vista Ultimate 32 bit | Re: atikmdag Oh great...it was all working fine for a week. yesterday. i installed resident evil 5. it worked perfectly...i played for hours. till yesterday. it happened just like before... the game froze for a few seconds then the error (though it didn't say anything about atikmdag ...just the display driver has stopped working and has recovered) and the game crashed.don't know what had happened. i have windows 7 now. and it installed some updates...i'm thinking that might be the reason...though i don't know what to say anymore...i'm so so mad!!! i mean come on. it's been a long time ppl have had this error. and nobody has come up with a solution. what are those guys at ati/amd and nvidia do all day? you never saw this happening a few years ago...even if we didn't have such nice graphics...anybody if you find a solution...please let me know your thoughts..thanks. i'm just really really frustrated!! |

| Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit | Re: atikmdag This problem has plagued ATI and Nvidea users for a while now with no fix. Some people have switched back from Windows 64 bit to Windows XP 32 bit and it's solved the problem for them. If that's the case, it's a windows problem and they need to get off their butt and fix it. It's been over 2 years now with the same issues. I built a new system last year so be set for games for a while. This error has kept me from playing ANY game without this problem. I'm about to switch back to win XP. Windows 7 users are getting the same glitch.
