Plz help me to improve the display quality

Hi,

I've recently got a SONY VAIO VGN - NW 18H with below specs:

Intel core 2 duo processor - T6500 2.1GHz
Video card - ATI Mobility Radean HD4570
RAM - 4GB DDR3.

The problem is that i could not watch DVD rips with good quality. The movies show the images with blurred or lines at the edges. I checked if i can increase the resolution and could not increase the resoulution more than 1366*768.

Could any one help me to resolve my issue?. Thanks.

Chandra

can you go into device manager (start>search>type device manager. go to the video tab and look to see if your video card is installed and working properly. If it has a yellow triangle on it or if it is not there you need to re-install the driver.

let us know the results

Hi Ken,

I've checked device manager and checked the entries of DISPLAY ADAPTERS and MONITORS for driver status.. For both of them drivers are installed and working properly.. Plz correct me if i checked at wrong location..

I'm ready to replace my registered VISTA os with copy XP if that step resolves the issue.. Plz advice..

Thanks

I don't think XP is going to give you any higher resolution because, according to Google, your notebook has a 15-inch display. The resolution you're seeing is probably as high as the notebook will go. I really couldn't tell because nearly all the Google pages came back in Vietnamese or Chinese -- neither of which I can read.
