This is driving me crazy just installed 64-bit home premium because the 32-bit oem made explorer crash my rig is pretty new hard ware wise the components don't have over a year of use yet.however could it be something with the bad install of 32-bit I wiped the whole drive?

I would uninstall the driver (e.g. in Device manager) and reboot. Hopefully the system will find the last driver by itself.

Hmm, I am a little puzzled. Not that am against using safe mode, but what is the advantage in this case? Safe mode you usually use if you want to release all handles and avoid interference of other processes. But for uninstalling a driver I would not think that this is a problem. - Just curious whether am missing something.

If he is having display driver problems, it could be the cause of another program interfering with that, if this is the case, he is less likely to encounter this problem in safe mode. And installing or rolling back a driver in Safe mode is most likely to display because the default resolution in safe mode is 800x600

Thanks for the added explanation. Makes sense. In any case, it can`t hurt to use safe mode.
