Old Video Card software delete advice needed

My wife's ATI video card on her HP9457c desktop PC went south. Since I could not find an ATI replacement , I installed a PNY Nvidia GE Force GT 220 card with included drivers. Works great! (so far). However, I assumed the new video software would clean out the old ATI stuff. Apparently not. Need advice; should I just go to the Programs/Features and delete any OEM ATI programs such as ATI Catalyst Control Center or what? O/S MS Windows Vista Home Premium ED (x86 64bit) SP1. Thanks in advance.

    Go to Start menu>Control Panel>System.

Within System, click on the "Hardware" tab, followed by "Device Manager."

You should see the old card's name listed. Right-click the name, and select "Uninstall."

    Restart your computer.

Thanks for help. actually when I deleted ATI catalast control center, it had a option to delete "all ATI" files which was recommended by PNY tech support. I hope this ends the concern. Time will tell.
