HI i got a sapphire radeon HD4350 to replace my intergrated graphics. I first installed on windows xp. worked fine. BUT if i try vista it doesnt work.

heres what i did.

Installed vista
inserted graphics card

loaded fine on 640X4-- woteva.

INSTALLED DRIVERS. none failed

now MY SCREEN WONT WORK.It goes past the Microsoft boot screen but then the screen stays blank while i hear the windows sound.

Have you tried booting in safe mode?
Normally when you use an add in graphics card the onboard is disabled by default.

no it dont work. in safe mode the screen hangs at the last driver it loads.

My specs are

Windows Vista 32bit Genuine

MOTHERBOARD: ONTAI OT-945LM4 socket 478

Ram: 1.5GB DDR2 667MHz

PSU: 500w (the cards specs 300w min)

BIOS: AMI BIOS 2006. NO idea how to update

Have you turned your intergrated video off in the bios?

You did get the right driver for Vista correct?

1. Yes the drivers came with the CD AND also from amd website. 2. I have no idea how to disable in BIOS. At least it doesnt say.

Oh and the motherboard manual says nothing intresting either. Loads of spelling mistakes likeit was written by a child.

Your board is very obscure, where did you scalvage it from?? a dell hp? ibm??
