hello, a week ago as my pc was working normally, suddenly my screen froze and had various green red dots and lines. as i restarted my pc the same lines and dots appeared also as it was loading until the toshiba logo. after that my screen would go clear black and windows wouldn't load. so i restarted went into safe mode and unistalled nvidia. my pc would load normally but the green dots were still there. after that i fully restored my pc and i still have the same issues as above. any suggestions?

i did a clean boot with exact instructions of
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
the problem is that, if the nvidia card is disabled then windows load normally but with all these dots and lines, but when its enabled it just wont load windows at all.

I understand that, but what clean boot tries to do is see if the problem is caused by conflict. Now just put back Nvidia and see if the problem is still there while in clean boot

no startup program is causing the problem. nvidia will still not startup windows. should i also do the same to see if a Microsoft service is causing the problem? is there another way to do that?
thanks

Does it work perfectly in safe mode?

no in safe mode with the nvidia enbled i can still see all the dots. but i noticed that if i right click on the nvidia and select update driver software -> browse my computer for driver softaware-> let me pick from a list on my computer, it finds two different versions of nvidia,
nvidia geforce go 7900 gs 7.15.10.9754 2006 and nvidia geforce go 7900 gs 7.15.11.7948 2009...... if it makes a difference :/

Try with a card that does not have the known problem.
