Hey folks. Its been a while I posted anything here but thats because its been a while I had any problems with my system.

I used to play a lot of games and stuff on my system before. I recently reinstalled my OS and since then I am not able to do anything graphical on my system. If I attempt to play games the display drivers stop responding. I dont know what happened suddenly or sometimes the entire screen goes beserk and everything appears as though I'm watching it in Infrared. Even when I edit photos or something in Adobe Lightroom this happens. I even ran a driver sweeper and installed the latest graphics driver but to no avail. Please help as I wanna start playing games again as it my only form of relaxation after a tough day at work.

Here's my config

Windows Vista Ultimate X64
MOBO - Asus P5KC
Graphics card - Nvidia 8600GT
4GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM
Intel Quad core Q6600 2.4GHZ

Thanx

In addition
Go to search type device manager
Then check for any yellow warning markers
then
make sure your graphics card is up to date. Check again, yourself not with driver sweeper

How To Find Drivers:
- I have listed links to most of the drivers in the code box below. Please use the links there to see what info I've found about those drivers.
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

Thanx RICHC46. I tried everything you suggested still no progress. As soon as I load medal of honor or fifa 11 or need for speed most wanted (the games I'm trying to play), my screen just keeps flickering and it says my display is not responding and continues even after i end the game with Ctrl+alt+del.

I have all the latest drivers. Im now downloading SP2 in the hopes that it will shed some light. The annoying this is that a couple of days back on the very same system i sat and played games without a glitch but just after reinstalling the OS im not able to do anything that requires my graphic card capabilities.
I'm attaching a screen shot of what the message says.
