Dual monitors

I have had a hd4350 card installed to me compaq but for some reason I have a my desktop on both monitors, When I go to my display settings it is only showing 1 monitor, has anyone any ideas for an irate computer idiot ?

Thanks guys I have now followed all the tutorials to the letter, but when I get to the personalization stage my display settings are still showing only 1 monitor yet I have mirror images on both ? what am I doing wrong?

Oh okay, You don't want mirror.

Use Catalyst to set it to seperate.... Laptops do mirror by default

Patonb is correct, you need to switch off clone mode, should be simple enough :-)

Where would clone mode be ? excuse if i sound thick...lol

Go to display properties and you should be able to make the change.
