Weird but since updating the driver on my ATI Radeon HD4800 card numbers have started appearing in the top right of two progs on my PC. One is Google Earth and the other is a plug in for Photoshop. The numbers are yellow or red and change at random with mouse movement. I'm not on any medication :)
I've attach a screen shot...
Any ideas?

Welcome
Heres the story, and it happened to me too. I found the most current graphics driver. It made my screen twice as large and it could not fit on the monitor. Resolution changes and DPI changes would not help.
I would go back to the earlier driver. If it does not work use a system restore point.

"Always make sure you have the most up to date drivers" We keep hearing this mantra... It doesn't look like this one is better. How do I get the old one back?

My Computer

in order to update the ccc and drivers...first download newest version of ccc..save the download to a folder or some place you can get to easly. now after download is saved...uninstall ccc...when done go into device manager...under display adpters click properties...click uninstall.if it is a x2 card repeat the uninstall for second card. restart computer. when the rig reboots windows may try to install old drivers...stop driver install. go to new driver and ccc folder & install...remember its better to install the ccc package with the drivers. pc rig may now say reboot. after reboot you should be ready and good to go. if not repeat steps with an older version of driver. i hope this helps.

Thanks - I tried everything you suggested and more even clearing out everything with Revo and other cleaners. Still no CCC! I think the Tray tools does all I need - better now I've gotten rid of the fps...
