HDMI Output Problem, PLEASE HELP

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my HDMI output. I have a Dell Inspiron 1525, running Vista Home Premium 32bit. I recently discovered that I can hook my laptop to my 60in LG Plasma display via HDMI and do homework large and in charge. Unfortunately, it has stopped working.

Everything worked fine for a few days, I just plugged my cable into the back of the tv, clicked "Connect to Display" in my "Personalize" window from the desktop right-click drop-down menu and everything worked perfectly. I have not adjusted the refresh rate or resolution or any other setting for that matter.

When I came home from school today I repeated all the same steps but now when I plug the cable into the computer, the sound (when you plug into a port aka. dooDEE, I know, I'm nuts, just say it to yourself) keeps going back and forth between plugged in and unplugged (DEEdoo). Repeatedly over and over as if I would keep plugging it in and unplugging it again. (As if there is a problem with a driver)

I have searched all through the device manager for !'s and disabled the HDMI Audio Output Codec then re-enabled, as well as reset my plasma display to default settings. The personalize panel also cycles through "Display Connected" and "No Display Detected" during this time.

Please, if you're a guru, extend some help, if you're gonna ask if the tv is plugged into the wall, don't waste our time. Any help from knowledgable sources will be much appreciated as I really do not want to pay Dell $60 to walk me through something that is probably very simple. I might add I recently acquired this computer from my mother, so obviously there is no prior restore point as she does not know what that is, I already tried that. Please PLEASE help me out as the big screen is much easier to do homework on. Thanks so much and God bless! :)

Thanks again,
Rick

Ensure you uninstall the drivers completely and then re-install them.

Or uninstall them from Device manager and then re-install using windows update.
