Upgrade graphics

patch41

Vista Pro
Hi Folks,I had given to me a dell Inspiron 1100 laptop, It had XP on it so i upgraded to vista, The problem is in vista the picture is only about 9x9 with a black margin on the 15inch screen, The resolution is 640x480, If i raise the resolution to 1024x768 i get a full screen picture but it is washed out and pixalated, I tried to format and reinstall xp with no luck, I would like to keep vista, do i have to upgrade the graphics to get a decent picture, I dont use the computer for any sort of games, And if so what is recommended, Thanks Patch 41.

You cant upgrade your video in this laptop. or 88% of laptops.

When you upgraded, did you get the proper vista video drivers?

The drivers should be your first try.
