Blurry/Grainy Screen - Images used to be Crisp

Hi All,

I have a Sony Vaio VGC-LT18E all-in-one desktop. I just received my computer from Sony (1 month later) for a free repair because of a bad Nvidia graphics card 8400M. When I got it back (2 days ago) I noticed that the screen was fuzzy, its as if your looking at it through a screen door. Pictures are kind of blurred and the color (saturation?) is off. I've downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers and installed them.

The graphics card (integrated graphics) is a Nvidia GeForce 8400M GT.

Does anyone know why the monitor or image(s) being displayed are not "crisp" anymore?

Screen 22" Sony Xbrite
Resolution: 1680x1050(highest)
Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit

Hello and welcome, it sounds as if the card was not repaired properly. Have you contacted Sony about this yet ?

Yes, I have. They are sending me another box, so I can ship my computer back to them.

However, I was hoping it might have been an issued I could have fixed.

I wasn't able to use this computer for 6 months because I didn't have the cash to fix it (bc I thought I would have needed too)

Once I found out Sony would fix it free of charge, I sent it in. Another month.

Now I have to send it in again :(

I would think so, unfortunately, as that should have worked perfectly right out of the box from them. Something may have come loose .

Would you know what to "tighten", as I've opened up this computer several times and am fairly comfortable with it. But if its pretty intricate, I'd rather not.

Added some photo's.

Well, the most I would do is confirm all connections are tight and seated fully. If something else got jostled during shipping, it would take a bench test to see what circuit is not working .

FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I opened it up and just unplugged and plugged some things back in.

You don't even know how many hours (20+) I spent trying to fix this. I should have came to this site awhile ago. Regardless, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
