    Resolution to large

I set the resolution to large and now desktop is not visible on screen. Can't 'find' control panel, even when I go to Start and select Control Panel. I've tried Safe Mode but you can't change resolution there.

Do I use C Prompt to change the resolution now?

    Re: Resolution to large

Hello Osage, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Are you sure that you didn't change the DPI settings instead?

As a test, you could use the REG file in OPTION TWO of the tutorial below to reset it back to the default size to hopefully fix this for you.

    DPI Scaling

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Thanks for replying; default DPI is set at 96. Problem remains with 'losing' site on the desktop of Control Panel, wihch would allow me to reset the resolution. Right now, I can use Start and access control panel,,,,but then it remains hidden off to the side and out of sight.

In that case, see if you may be able to change the screen resolution after booting into the Advanced Boot Options screen and selecting the Enable Low Resolution Video (640 X 480) option.
