poor performance by integrated graphics

    i want to upgrade my laptop from integrated to dedicated

    Hi
    i have hp 430 laptop, 2gb of ram and integrated graphics that are intel hd graphics my laptop is very poor in gaming performance . i want to upgrade my laptop to dedicated graphics please tell me is that possible to upgrade from integrated to dedicated . please help and sorry for my english

    Nope, on most, if not all laptops, the graphics are built in to the mainboard. There is no way to have a dedicated card on a laptop.
    Keep in mind...in general, laptops are not made for gaming. There are some that are capable, but you have to be willing to spend the money. They are not cheap.

    Price is a factor in most computer performance.
    simple answer to your question is no you have built in graphics

    According to HP, if he had the HM 55 Express chipset, a Radeon 6370 discrete graphics card could be installed. If he had a HM 65 Express chipset, a 6470 card could be installed. Sounds to me like the mobo has a PCI slot and, if so, I don't know why he couldn't install a card (if he could get into the case). Seems to me that the GM45 chipset supports PCI. I think the best thing for him to do would be to ask HP.

    Yes but maybe like Dell the actual pci slot wont be soldered to the board. My mums inspiron and mine had the option for discrete graphics but we both have intel gma... open up the case and the IS a spot where the slot should be soldered to. But the slot is not actually there. That might be the case here.
