I am trying to connect to my work's vpn from my home computer which uses vista home. I receive the following message - failed to connect to *** connection. My IT guy seems to think the connection is not possible with vista home. Would that be a true statement or are we missing something? Thanks.

Vista Home Basic and Vista Home Premium have built-in VPN clients. Have you setup a connection? You do that through the "Network and Sharing Center" control panel.

I use Home Premium to connect to my office's VPN connection (Windows Server 2003) all the time with no problems. The VPN implementation is the same in all flavors of Vista.

Does you office use a VPN implementation that is compatible with the one built-in to Vista?
