| Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit | sd card gets semaphore time period expired error I have a toshiba satelite 205 that has a SD slot. When I insert the card to transfer files I get the error: Semaphore time period has expired...... I read somewhere that if you lock the card that you can view the files, but you still cannot write to or from the disk. Does anyone know of a fix for this? Please help, I really need to use this disk. |

| Vista Ultimate X64 | Re: sd card gets semaphore time period expired error Hi Ishead!! I went to toshiba's website and it gives instructions on how to use the card reader properly. I am wondering has the card reader ever worked for you before? How old is the laptop? Maybe it's under warrenty? Need some info to help you out. Thanks ![]() Raj |

| Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: sd card gets semaphore time period expired error The laptop is less than a year old. I successfully used the sd card with a usb card reader so I know the card is ok. I don't own the usb card reader (borrowed it from a friend) and I would like to be able to use the one built into the laptop. I have also gotten the same error when trying to use a usb thumb drive which I have two of and one of them works fine. The SD card was formatted when I used it in my kodak camera and the thumb drive was formatted when i used it to use files from another pc. |
