| vista ultimate x32 | 244 errors in the last 24 hr.. can't find this, Help please. The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {AB8902B4-09CA-4BB6-B78D-A8F59079A8D5} to the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE SID (S-1-5-20) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool. I have tried many times to find this, I can't find it. I can use some help with this one... Thanks |

Run 'dcomcnfg' (maybe eleveted, don't know), go into Component services, Computers, and right-click on My computer, choose 'properties'. Click on tab 'Com Security', then tab 'Launch and activation permissions' ('edit default...') and add 'Network Services' (click 'advanced' and then 'Find now' and pick 'Network...'). Mark both local access checkboxes. Did it work? Please credit my reputation by clicking the scales! Last edited by EddieZ; 12-13-2007 at 05:43 AM.. Reason: typo |
