Hi
I am running vista ultimate x64 on my main desktop and vista home basic x32 on my laptop and they both seem to have the same problem. This happened after about six months of running vista. The icon in the taskbar for the network connection is indicating that i am not connected to the network yet i have internet access. When I open the network and sharing center they indicate that no such device is installed. I believe that my desktop is looking for wireless network connections yet I dont have a wireless card installed in the computer. I cannot see any other computers on the network (which is 4 others two with xp and one with vista, the laptop) that i was able to access before this problem started. I used to use Norton Internet security but uninstalled it thinking that this was the problem, since it seemed to happed after installing it, but that did not correct anything. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it at all?
