download problem!

hi , i recently downloaded vista and since then i haven't been able to download any .rar files i thought it was just my download manager but ive tried different ones and i get the same problem , all the files i try to download, download as 5.1 mb files and dont work
has anyone any idea what it could be?

Have you tried downloading any other file type, like .zip or .exe?

Do they stop at 5.1mb as well?

Will try and narrow down a solution for you.

yeah as far as im aware i can download any other file type just fine, its just .rar files, em im trying to think of something that might help you narrow it down , but i dont think there is anything else, sorry!
