issues with shared folders

I recently upgraded from p4/3GHz to a quadcore 2.4 and after a fresh re0install of vista for some reason I have some issues with sharing:

1. changes made to files/folder in shared folder do not refresh unless I hit F5 or leave and re-enter the folder (new folder/rename fiiles) when I do this from the 'home' system, on a remote system accessing the shared folder it works fine.

2. Files and folders created in the shared folder (using utorrent) are not accessible on remote systems, if I copy/past the file or folder it is..

This was not the case on my previous installed system and I am sure I have things setup the same. But I guess I am missing something here..

tagt system is Vista Ultimate on my notebook and e NetGear EVA8000 which will not even show the files unless I copy/paste them.. (it will then show and play the copy, not the original)
