Vista - Problem with network connection sharing..

I've tried looking all over the internet for help but without any luck so here is me trying to get help on my own.

The thing is that when I enter network properties for my primary connection and I try to enable network connection sharing a window pops up and tells me this:

An error occured while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled.

The dependency service or group failed to start.

And that's it.

I've tried enabling some services I found in another guide but that didn't help me.

I've tried updating my windows, network drivers, starting every network related service in services.msc, it seems like I've done everything.

I think the error code is 1068.


I don't know why this have happened, I have been sharing my internet connection for a long time.

I think it started with me installing Vista sp 1 I think, but I'm not sure.

Is there anyone out there with the same problem or any info on how to resolve the problem?

Have a look at the event log to know which is/are the faulty services.

It created 3 error reports at the same time when I attempted to start the network sharing feature.

1.

"Error 2008-05-01 18:51:47 Service Control Manager Eventlog Provider 7023 None

The Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol Service service terminated with the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified."

2.

"Error 2008-05-01 18:51:47 Service Control Manager Eventlog Provider 7001 None

The Remote Access Connection Manager service depends on the Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol Service service which failed to start because of the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified."

3.

"Error 2008-05-01 18:51:47 Service Control Manager Eventlog Provider 7001 None

The Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service depends on the Remote Access Connection Manager service which failed to start because of the following error:
The dependency service or group failed to start."

I can provide "copy details as text" if you need that in order to help me.

How does look like the Network and Sharing center?
Did you configure the firewall (if any)

Network sharing center is fine.

Network discovery is on, everything else is off.

I can connect to the internet as usual with no disturbances.

The built in windows firewall is activated but nothing else, no norton crap or anything.

Test your network connexion sharing with the firewall deactivated.

I kinda felt it coming but when I disabled the firewall and tried to activate network sharing again it just gave me the same error message again.
