Re: argh help havent got a clue

tbh you don't need any of AOL's and BT's spy ware programs installed on you pc
all you need to do is configure the address correctly in your router and you will be surfing in no time....using an internet browser of your choice not your i.s.p's

in you router you will see your users name and password
(your password will be displayed as ******* and you user name wil be i.e bigbut1)
simply change the bigbut1 to bigbut1@adsl.btinternet.com or bigbut1@adsl.aol.com
be sure to use

Re: argh help havent got a clue

Hi snoopy12,

Welcome to the forums.
In addition to the advice given by ripbox, make sure that you backup the router's configuration file (follow the instruction manual). This will enable you to quickly setup your router again should you ever need to reset it to the factory settings. In some cases, this is probably your most important backup as without the correct configuration you will not be able to connect to the Internet. An advantage of using a router is that you can install Vista and it will be able to connect to the Internet without any further configuration other than connecting the router.
