| x64 | Restarting twice to get internet connection Hi Friends, I recently upgraded to Vista Home Premium (32 bit) and on my third attempt I was able to upgrade from XP Media Edition. My dilemma now is that I need to manually restart my computer twice to get an internet connection because on the first restart I will not get a connection. Why is this? When I get a connection all appears to be fine I can surf and send emails. I have a Gateway 836 GM desktop system and my modem from my ISP is a SMC 8014W-G. Does anyone think this could be network card issue ?? or a modem issue ?? my LAN support is Broadcom 5752 GbE PCIe controller with integrated trusted platform module which has an update available ... seeking advice before downloading what may be redundant actions. Thanks, Justin |
