| Vista Ultimate x64 MAK, OpenSolaris 5, Gentoo 2008.1.... | Re: Vista & Xp dual boot connection problems That is weird - you reboot the computer from one OS to another and the connection does not work in either OS - until you reset the modem. However, if you reboot and remain in the same OS, it works? |

| Vista Ultimate x64 MAK, OpenSolaris 5, Gentoo 2008.1.... | Re: Vista & Xp dual boot connection problems OK, so it goes AWOL when you reboot - meaning the modem for some reason doesn't realize it is the same computer just a different OS, even though the MAC address is the same. 2 options: 1) Buy a decent router to eliminate the problem, or 2) call your ISP and bug them about the problem - might be a modem setting that only they can change. |
