| vista home edition | home page redirected to some antivirus site Some virus changed my home page to an antivirus site and I used tools to change it back, But when I restarted the IExplorer, it again displayed the antivirus site. What can I do to fix this up? I do not want to re-install the operating system.Thanks. |

| Vista Home Premium X64 | Re: home page redirected to some antivirus site You might want to try this if you are not wedded to all your current settings in IE. Go to Tools, then Internet Options, then the Advanced tab. You will see a reset button there. This resets IE to its original state. You'll lose your favorite links and so on, but if this is something that has corrupted IE it might take care of it. I had a somewhat similar case of my IE browser suddenly going to a strange site when certain types of search pages were visited first. Antivirus, antispyware found nothing. But when I reset IE the problem vanished. In any case, good luck. |

I highly suggest that you run an online scanner, or else get Malwarebytes.org and run it (the free version allows unlimited on demand scanning, the only thing you get when paying for it (currently) is real time always on scans). |
