| Windows Vista ltimate 32bit | Backup complete pc image over the network Hi there I have two pc's one in my living room with a 500gig external hard disk attached and another pc in my bedroom. I would like to backup my pc in the bedroom to this 500gig external hard disk but when I go to backup and restore and select backup computer it then asks me where do I want to save the image. I dont have the option to select the 500gig external hard disk attached to the other pc in the livingroom. Both pc's are on the network. How can I backup the bedroom pc over the network to the external disk? Thanks |

First of all, can thebedroom PC see the living Room PC, ***and*** the external driver? If so, map it to a local drive - Windows Explorer --> Tools --> Map Network Drive |

The external drive is connect locally to the living room pc and the bedroom pc can see the external via the network mapped as a network drive. |
