booting with internet connected

WHen i boot my PC with the internet plugged in i get the following message

"Failer to connect to a windows service.
windows could not connect to the user profile service. this problem limits users from logging on to the system. Aas an administrative user you can view the system event log for details why the service didnt respond."

this stops my profile loading up and i have to restart with the internet unplugged for my computer to load the profile.

Please can anyone help??

Re: booting with internet connected

well, first try running startup repair to fix windows startup issues, and some registry files.
also disable the UAC.

Re: booting with internet connected

ok, i have disable the UAC, tried the system rapair tool which doesnt see anything wrong with my computer

from the event viewer i get 2 errors

the first is an application error
Faulting application svchost.exe_MSiSCSI, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp 0x47919291, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp 0x4791adec, exception code 0xc0000374, fault offset 0x00000000000a6e97, process id 0xa38, application start time 0x01c9011ace10f09f.

2 minutes later there is another WMI error

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

Re: booting with internet connected

If its a brand new PC call your vendor for support, you are entitled to it. If they determine there is an issue you at least qualify for warranty replacement then.

Re: booting with internet connected

this is true, but it cost £1 or $2 per minute to call them! Plus i paid £800 $1600 for the computer and i expect it to work.

looks like this might be the only way as noone seems to know how to fix it.

thanks anyway

Re: booting with internet connected

Really? That is suprising, if the PC is new they should offer some free support.

Ok lets start with this, are you using DHCP or a static IP?
