Vista - Getting disconectted from internet after computer wakes up from sleep

I got a new Dell PC which has Windows Vista home premium, and I have a high speed internet service from AT&T, the problem I'm having is: whenever I put the computer to sleep,when I wakes it up, my internet connection is lost, and I have to restart the computer to get it to work again which so annoying to do.
I tried the: uncheck the (allow the computer to turn the device off to save power) for both the modem and the network adaptor which is Intel 82562 V-210/100, but the problem still exist, does anyone know how to fix this problem.

Check the Power saving and Standby settings, and make sure that none of the
Network Components go to sleep from there.

Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> Change Plan Settings -> Change advanced power settings

Check some things there.

It sounds as you are losing your ip address which in turn is cutting you off. Reseting the router connection will solve this. Right click on the connection not working and select fix. This will stop then start the service which will renew your ip address.

Just right click on battery indigator, so that it will take you outomaticly to the battery settings, there you need to select all option NEVER.
try this you wont face this problem again.

Learner77 are you using a router? If so look at my previous post. If not answer my post so I can try and help you more. You are using a network adaptor, when your computer goes to sleep it will disapear from the network.

I am using a router on the main PC, which is XP and hardwired. It does NOT have this issue.

I am using Vista on the other 2 that both have this issue..

I read your previous post

Repair/diagnose/Fix doesn't work on this issue..Is there another 'fix' that you meant?
