| Member | VPN client installation gives error and reboots pc Hi all, I am trying to install nortel vpn client on my dell laptop which has vista home premium. After installing, the machine simply re-starts saying an error has occured. Any solutions...? M |

If not, then we'll have to troubleshoot what Dell might have installed on their system that is interfering with your installation... |

I have already checked with my friends if they are doing anything special, but they are not. I tried to switch off my firewall and virus protection, but even then I am getting the same error. The actual error I am getting is: Once the installation is over the machine simply reboots and shows the following error: A Problem has been detected and windows has been shut down. BUGCODE_NDIS_DRIVER If this is the first time you've seen this... Check to make sure any new hardware or software.... and so on... |

| Antidisestablishmentarian | Re: VPN client installation gives error and reboots pc According to Bug Check 0x7C: BUGCODE_NDIS_DRIVER you have a problem with the NDIS driver - basically, that is saying that the VPN is not playing nicely with the drivers for your NIC. Have you verified that your NIC drivers are the latest available from your manufacturer? |
