| Newbie | Got the dual network issue... Hey guys, I'm new here, found out the forums after a quick google search on this issue... You know, where the wireless somehow splits your home network into two parts and can't get to the Internet... I tried the route delete 0.0.0.0, and the deleting of the ipv6. There were no Wake On Lan options so I couldn't disconnect that. But all this to no avail, still there. I disabled the drive and enabled it again, it's working now but I hear only until next restart? Did I do something wrong with my solutions? I disabled ipv6 both on LAN and wireless. Do I need to enable, or disable LAN, if I'm using wireless? Thanks, I hope y'all can help, I'm stumped on this Sorry to bother you with that thing again.. |

| Antidisestablishmentarian | Re: Got the dual network issue... Hi, Pott, and welcome to the forums. First of all, if you found the forums from a Google search, and the post was related to your problem, then posting in that post would have been the route to go. If it was not related but you found us anyway, then my apologies and good job on making a new post for your issue. Now, since you have it working right now and you know of potential problems, I'd test it by rebooting and seeing if it changes or not. Also, have you changed your router's default login PW? Finally, Enabling / Disabling LAN should have no bearing as that refers to wired connections and cannot be 'hacked' without someone attaching a cable to your router. Of course, if you *do* have wired connections, then disabling LAN will disable all of those computers' connections, so obviously you don't want to in that case. |
